About USDtb
USDtb is a US-dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Tether, launched in late 2024 and positioned as a fully-backed, US-domiciled stablecoin distinct from the offshore USDT. Reserves are held partly in tokenised US Treasuries via BlackRock's BUIDL fund and partly in cash and short-dated Treasuries. Available on Ethereum and other chains. As a centralised, fiat-backed stablecoin, USDtb carries counterparty risk on Tether and its custodians — verify the latest attestation before holding large balances. Volatility is minimal in normal conditions but peg risk can appear under stress.
